David Henry

David Henry is a Professor of Public Health and Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Fellow of the Institute for Health Research and Policy, and a President's Professor of Biomedical Research at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He is one of the Principal Investigators of the Families and Communities Research Group. He studies contextual processes that influence individual behavior, child and adolescent development and psychopathology, and prevention. He has published over 80 articles and book chapters in these and other areas. He has been the co-investigator or principal investigator on grants funded by private foundations, the National Institutes of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Henry received a master’s degree in psychology from Roosevelt University, and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is married with two grown children.
